NDIC daily activity report no. 19622

Monday, October 26, 2026

Monday's report 19622 had one new permit, a confidential Petro-Hunt development well in Divide County in the Skabo field. It's a drill-back outside its spacing unit, which covers sections 4, 9 and 16 of 160N-98W. Five wells came off confidential status: three Slawson Exploration wells on one Mountrail County pad in the Kittleson Slough field, one Whiting well and one SOGC, LLC well, both in McKenzie County. The rig count held at 37.

Highlights

  • 1 permit approved: Petro-Hunt, L.L.C., Divide County (Joyce 160-98-4B-16-2H, Skabo field, confidential, drill-back outside spacing unit)
  • 5 wells released from confidential status: Slawson Exploration (3, Mountrail County, Pegasus and Warlock Federal wells), Whiting Oil and Gas (McKenzie County, Assiniboine) and SOGC, LLC (McKenzie County, Lone Butte)

The active rig count was 37, unchanged from the prior report.

What it means for mineral owners: When a well comes off confidential status, its completion and early production data become public. If you own in those Mountrail or McKenzie County sections, that's the first real look at what the well is doing.
