NDIC daily activity report no. 19627
Monday, November 2, 2026
Monday's report 19627 had two new permits, both Formentera Operations wells on one Burke County pad in the Larson field. Six wells were approved for confidential status, including three Koda Resources wells in Divide County, and three came off the list, among them a Phoenix Operating saltwater disposal well in Williams County. The bigger entry is an operator change: 62 wells, almost all in Bowman County's Cedar Creek Unit, moved from Denbury Onshore to MMGL MT I. The rig count rose from 37 to 38.
Highlights

The active rig count was 38, up 1 from the prior report.
What it means for mineral owners: If you own minerals under a Cedar Creek Unit well in Bowman County, expect your royalty checks to come from MMGL MT I instead of Denbury Onshore. The report doesn't say why the wells moved, so don't read anything into it beyond who's paying. What we'd do is watch for a division order or an owner-relations letter from the new payer, then compare the decimal on it with your last Denbury stub before you sign. If you're in Sections 11, 14, 23, 26 or 35 of 162N-94W in Burke County, the two Formentera permits are the news. A permit isn't a well yet, but it's usually the first sign a unit is going to be drilled, and that's when lease offers and buyer letters tend to show up. The Koda Stout wells in 160N-102W and the Hess GO-Raymond wells in 156N-98W are now confidential, so there's no public data on them until the hold ends.
